New Design
Motorcycle design is forever changing, within the last few weeks, 2010 model motor bikes have started to be released. Yamaha has been a leading manufacture in the market, and until now it has kept the same type of design for its range of motorbikes.
However, in 2010, Yamaha has taken a totally new approach with new line work in its design and materials, to give the bike a space age image. The use of straighter and sharper line work and edges give the bike a fast, and direct image, which is reflected in its performance.
A change in material use, such as more titanium and carbon fibre has given the bike a higher quality feel and image.

Urban Tribes Inspiration
I'm going to design a hand held product, that is used solely whilst playing golf, that incorporates a score sheet, the directions for the course (which is achieved through the use of GPS), the statistics of each hole on the course, and the availability to call course staff when food and drinks are required.
I have been looking at a number of different pedometers, and remotes that are on the market to try and get an idea for the form and style that my product should take.

Target Audience.
· 35-45.
· Male.
· $100,000 - $300,000.
o Fitting into this price range means that money isn’t so much of an issue. Types of products that this person is looking for has an expensive and well-designed image.
· Stockbroker / accountant / Lawyer.
o Busy, organized, and functional person.
· Inner City.
o Type of person may be more interested in the image of the product, rather then the functioning of the product.
· Expensive taste.
These are a number of images that are related to the type of products, and sought of lifestyle that would be lead by this particular person. Whilst I'm trying to design a new product for this person, I have been looking at products that this person might already own as inspiration into the form, color, textures, and line work that is used. Alot of these products are extremely functional, but the way there designed stand out from the crowd, and let people know just how special they are.
